I am sitting on a cozy couch enjoying the aftermath of a snowfall. I took a warm bath with Himalayan salt and lavender essential oil, and had a satisfying lunch of homemade butternut squash soup, crackers, cheese and a warm cup of soymilk. I feel satiated and grateful.
These are all simple acts of nourishment - not expensive and easily done at home. I would love to go to a healing conference and be with like-minded individuals. It would be so inspiring. But the fact that I'm on a comfortable couch, taking some time for myself, is just as worthwhile - and so simple.

Yes, I have a lot to do. I always do. I can find reasons why I shouldn't be sitting here writing this blog. However, it is these simple acts of nourishment that feed me, clear my mind, and, importantly, nourish my soul. They give me the energy I can use for the activities - and for the people - who are waiting for me.
It's not a linear relationship; I'd say it's more exponential. When I give myself simple acts of nourishment, I am not only replenished, but I also get to keep much of that energy while still passing it on or using it to help others.
My energy bank is almost overflowing. I am grateful for taking the ten minutes or so to nourish myself.
What is one simple act of nourishment you can give yourself today?
